Switzerland isn't cheap, but then neither is the UK. UK Rail prices are horrendously expensive considering the quality of service. At least in Switzerland you get an excellent service and cleanliness for your money. I don't think it's very much more expensive here than in the UK.

No, it is not. The Swiss Franc has a lower valuation than the British Pound. It may be close to 2:1, but check with a currency converter.

I think travelling in swss. is cheaper then UK. For example it cost 15 euro to stay a night and in london its about 20 Pound, this is hostel not a hotel. If you convert both amount in $ , swiss is cheper.

YES swiss is the most expevensive country and traveling is also very expensive but it has best public trasport in whole of europe

i lived for 13 years in the uk (i am swiss). for what is offered here in switzerland i think it is cheap.
